Our mission is to transform the lives of the most vulnerable women and children by providing them with access to quality formal education, essential healthcare, and comprehensive vocational skills. Through holistic rehabilitation, we aim to empower individuals to regain their independence, contribute to their communities, and break the cycle of poverty and abuse.

We envision thriving communities where survivors, armed with education, health, and vocational proficiency, lead the charge towards sustainable development, social harmony, and lasting peace. By sowing the seeds of hope and nurturing potential, we aspire to cultivate a future where every individual can rebuild their lives and create a brighter tomorrow for generations to come.

Our History: The Founding and Evolution

Heart Sounds US began its humble beginnings after several years of discussion and planning on how to best help those in need.

In 2018, we began developing a not-for-profit corporation to address these needs, focusing on sustainability and supporting individuals and organizations in achieving their goals. In 2019, the five current board members of Heart Sounds came together and funded its inception. With the assistance of the Foundation Group in Nashville, Tennessee, we were incorporated on January 21, 2021, under the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. On September 15, 2021, we were approved by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)(3) public charity.

In 2024, Heart Sounds US became officially recognized as a non-governmental organization (NGO).

Currently, we are working with programs in Africa, with a particular focus on Uganda. We are looking forward to the future and further growth of our projects and initiatives to help and support these underserved communities.
